Conference Bursary Scheme

Conference Bursary terms and conditions

1. Travel bursaries are only available to full members
2. Travel bursaries are only available to applicants whose employer is not covering the cost of attendance
3. Travel bursaries are not available to those who have successfully applied for other bursary schemes
4. Travel bursaries will only be paid to those who attend the conference in full on both days
5. Only those claim forms submitted within two weeks of the date of the conference and accompanied by receipts for standard class travel only (or declared mileage) will be paid
6. All payments will be made by direct bank transfer and account details must be provided
7. Recipients of the travel bursary will be expected to submit a short article (maximum 200 words) on their experience of the conference for the newsletter
8. This travel bursary can only be used to support standard class travel costs in relation to attendance at the LCNUK Annual Conference, June 2025
9. Evidence of expenditure will be required to be submitted to LCNUK to verify your expenditure so please retain and submit receipts for all charges
10. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend the conference we will require full reimbursement of the bursary funds (please make sure you take out appropriate travel insurance)
11. If you successfully obtain additional commercial/employer sponsorship from other sources these must be utilised first and any unused funds returned to LCNUK

The successful applicants will be provided with an expense claim form which must be completed (and receipts attached) and returned to the operations team within two weeks of the conference taking place. The maximum amount available is £250 per applicant. Mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of 45 pence per mile. Only standard class travel will be reimbursed.
