Ruth Strauss Foundation

Charity Sponsor
In 2018 Ruth Strauss, wife of ex-England cricket captain Sir Andrew Strauss, was diagnosed with ALK + lung cancer. Ruth died in December 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two young boys. In her memory, Sir Andrew set up the Ruth Strauss Foundation (RSF) with its mission to facilitate collaboration and fund research on non-smoking lung cancers. We raise public and HCPs awareness of non-smoking lung cancers to drive earlier diagnosis and improve patient outcomes. The Foundation also supports parents with incurable cancer to prepare their children and trains cancer and palliative care professionals to guide patients who are parents.
The conference has been instigated and organised by LCNUK. Sponsors have contributed funding towards this event in return for exhibition space. They have had no input into the agenda or the selection of speakers with the exception of any sponsored symposia which are clearly indicated.
