Sharmistha Ghosh was appointed as an Associate Specialist in Medical Oncology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in September 2016. She specialises in the treatment of thoracic and gynaecologial malignancies. She is also the Lead Clinician for the Acute Oncology Assessment Unit within Guy’s Cancer Centre.

After qualifying in medicine from the University of Aberdeen in 2003, Sharmistha undertook her general medical training in Aberdeen and the North of Scotland and subsequently her oncology training at Guy’s Hospital. She has developed a specialist interest in molecularly-driven lung malignancies, and is currently completing clinical research at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) in London.
