Gary Middleton is an honorary medical oncologist at University Hospital Birmingham. He is Chair of the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres Network in the UK and has been CI of 8 investigator initiated clinical trials including the flagship National Lung Matrix Trial. His lab interests include myeloid-derived suppressor cells, tumour specific MHC-II expression, B cells in lung cancer particularly Bregs and their association with ICB toxicity and targeting SOX2 and replication stress in lung cancer. He is Translational Lead on the DETERMINE trial and CI on KETO-LUNG.
