This year’s LCNUK Conference was held in Glasgow, Scotland with the venue being conducive for learning and networking. The exhibition centre was also arranged strategically allowing opportunities for networking and sharing of knowledge. I found the posters educational, and I was able to gain new perspectives of how other trusts work and was an excellent display of lung cancer nurses’ good practices.
This is my third time attending the LCNUK Conference and each year the topics presented have been varied, relevant and very interesting. I love how the topics are applicable to Lung CNSs in the diagnostic as well as treatment services. The presenters displayed expert knowledge of the subject matter and enabled us, the attendees, to engage. I liked the use of slido polls to allow us to interact and think at the same time during the presentations.
Kudos to the LCNUK committee members for ensuring the programme went smoothly on both days as well as ensuring everyone had a great time during the gala dinner. I am looking forward to next year’s conference and can’t wait for even more interesting topics that will be discussed which could contribute and impact positively to our practice.
