Conference Posters

Posters will be available for display in the main conference room from 09.00 on 14th November 2019 until 14.15 on 15th November 2019. Poster boards are approximately 2m high by 1m width, and therefore posters must be prepared in portrait format to a maximum size of A0 (840mm width x 1190mm height).

If you would like assistance with the preparation of your poster the LCNUK is delighted to offer poster production services toLCNUK members. Any posters produced by the LCNUK must include an acknowledgement to the LCNUK on the poster. Posters are produced in paper format 210gsm using satin photo-paper unless otherwise specified. Anyone requiring fabric format will be required to pay a £45.00 production fee.

If you require LCNUK to produce your poster please submit the artwork (i.e. the Powerpoint or PDF file) to this email address no later than 25th October 2019.

Tips for producing posters are shown below:-

Always make your poster “actual size” Do not simply open Powerpoint and make your poster - enter the dimensions and then make it - it makes designing it much easier, and the final print is much better as any images will be printed “as seen” rather than being scaled up by ~400%

If possible send a pdf with fonts embedded, or if this is not possible, stick to standard fonts. Another common problem is with fonts and text “moving around” - sending a pdf file can minimise this happening
